Link Building - Basics of Link Building and 5 Methods I
By Sean Mize
So now that you know how many links you need, and you have a rough idea of what type of anchor text to use, your main task is going to be building inbound links to your web site.
There are a number of different ways you can develop inbound links to your web site:
1) You can buy inbound links to your web site.
2) You can trade inbound links to your web site
3) You can ask others to link to your web site
4) You can publish materials that include links to your websites
5) You can submit your url to the various online web directories
I will go through each one of these here, one by one:
1) You can buy inbound links to your web site. I do not really recommend this strategy, as you can easily get strong inbound links through free means. The only place where I feel this is a good strategy is if you are just getting started, you don’t really have the time to spend generating the free links, and you want to get a head start on the inbound links.
The key here is to only purchase links that are coming from a page with at least a pr of 5, and not to purchase them too quickly. Just add a few per week. You do not want to trigger any flags in google that might indicate you are trying to ‘buy’ your way to the top. Remember, you are just doing this to get your web site noticed – and long term you should probably drop these links, once the free links begin to develop.
